FUN IN THE SUN

We took a fun trip to California to visit Aunt Jen and Uncle Monkey. We had a wonderful time, did some super fun stuff and were shown some great hospitality. Thanks Jen and Mike.
While we were there, we also went to my Grandparents house and visited with a few of my family members. Here's Grandpa and A having a silly giggle.
A with Great-Grandma B.
Grandma and A.
J's first sand castle - complete with Pirate Flag.
Dad and A on the beach.
Mike and J had a fun morning at the Long Beach Aquarium. This fish looks like it's trying to eat his head...
J fed some parrots some nectar. This is before one landed on his shirt and he tossed the nectar cup and ran away screaming. :)
Life Guard J.
Aunt Jen teaching J to play the harmonica.
One morning Mike took J out on a pirate ship/kayak ride around the bay. They had a blast!!
Meeting their pirate friend (standing on the wall).
Such a cute (and VERY excited) little boy!!
Lifeguard J again...keeping an eye on us!! (notice the binoculars are backward, he must have thought we were really far away!!)
We rented a surrey and went for a ride on the boardwalk - super fun!!!
J rode uncle Mike's skateboard EVERYWHERE. It was a great way to get around town, and he actually was getting pretty good at turning and staying in the middle of the sidewalk. I'm sure he'll have his own soon!!
J and Aunt Jen playing "intectives" (I think that's supposed to be a cross between detectives and investigators).
Blury photo, but this is a good example of the sneaky detective trying to avoid being noticed while he investigated the crime scene!!
What cute kids. Their red couch made for a nice photo background. :)
J very seriously making some fresh squeezed OJ...YUM!!!
Uncle monkey helping with the OJ.
After all the fun and games, this was how the flight home went...
...for both kiddos. I think we thoroughly wore them out - the perfect end to a fabulous trip!!

Sounds like you had a fantastic trip. They do grow up fast. Your children are beautiful, and handsome. I love the sleeping children pictures.
