SPRING HAS SPRUNG

Grandma Turpin recently got Jameson 2 of the Dr. Seuss stuffed characters Myrtle the Turtle and Fox in Socks. This particular afternoon Jameson was having fun taking both of them for rides around the house on his shoulders. I finally broke down and have let Jameson enter into the world of exploring Play-Doh. He hasn't really started making things much himself, but enjoys picking out which animals for me to make for him. He lovingly hugs each one after it is made and then plays with them.
Spring has finally decided to bless us with its presence here, and not a moment too soon. Jameson was so excited this morning when we finally declared that it was warm enough to go play outside. After running around the yard for a while, he settled down in his deck chair for some oranges. On our recent trip to St. George, we bought Jameson a little bug catching kit complete with magnifying glass, tweezers and a little bug house. Before yesterday the only things living in the house were a few pretend worms (pieces of yarn Jameson had found lying around the house). Friday, Jameson decided that this needed to change. Mike was loading some things in the car, so Jameson headed outside for a few minutes. All of a sudden the door flew open and Jameson ran inside yelling "bobo, bobo, mama look bobo!!" He had caught a box elder bug all by himself and brought it in on his hand. He was so proud and even more excited when I suggested we put it in his bug house. It has stayed alive for 3 days - pretty good I think. Below you can see Jameson very carefully putting some grass in for the bug to eat.
