Last Tuesday evening after work, Mike, the kids and I took the quick drive up the canyon to this BEAUTIFUL camping spot. The wildflowers were in full bloom, and what was a scorching day at our house, was a perfect 75 degrees after the 15 minute drive. We went for a fun hike and enjoyed the beautiful mountains that jump up right out of our backyard.
Even little A enjoyed the ride in her backpack - staying awake until we got almost all the way back to camp (a big feat in the sleep-inducing comfort of the backpack).
After our hike, we roasted some hotdogs, followed up by some yummy roasted marshmallows. Not so healthy, but hey, I can't be the "dietitian" all the time, right???
Last, but not least, here is a little video of part of our hike. Notice the funny conversation between J and I...this is how most of our conversations go throughout every day.
"Uncle" K played with both kids for most of the game. (I think he was trying to get as much play time in as he could before moving!!) Notice A's monk hair...it's filling in a little more now.

There were thundersticks on our seats when we walked in. Little did I know it would become one of A's FAVORITE toys!!! 
One nice thing about soccer games is...A can be as loud as she wants, and no one cares. :O)

J got a new scooter and has been spending lots of time figuring out how to ride it. :) I'm sure he'll be ripping it up soon.
