SPRING???

I am seriously beginning to wonder if spring is ever going to come this year. The first few pictures here are from earlier in March (still winter). As usual in Utah, we were teased with a few days of GORGEOUS, spring-like, warm weather, and we took full advantage of it...J riding a branch/horse in the nice non-snowy backyard...
Playing with tractors in the non-snowy, and even non-muddy dirt...Going for a bike ride (notice the short sleeves and lack of jacket)...Shooting a little hoop - afterall, it is March (still winter)...But...here is what we have now...now that it is officially SPRING!!!Poor Autumn had to go from this nice comfy St. Patty's Day (still winter) outfit outside...To this, for a nice "spring" walk around the park.I was going to blame it on my Dad coming up from CA (he and my mom always seem to bring cold winter weather with them from sunny CA when they come to visit), but he left last week, and with 6-10 MORE inches forecasted for tonight, I can't blame it on them.I was only going to talk about the weather in this, but I had a bunch more cute pictures, so here are some more photos of the craziness here...
What a great big brother playing with little Autumn. Can you tell they love eachother??? Entertaining the "yiddle wady" with a soft block...
Chilling out for a little tummy time...
Yes...I broke down and put a bow in Autumn's hair. It does look cute, I must admit, but it didn't stay in for long - I wouldn't want to encourage her to be a girly girl!!!
And finally, a glimpse at the fun that is Grandma and Grandpa's house every Sunday for dinner...
Jameson and cousin Ari helping Grandma make Rice Crispie Treats.
Daddy/Daughter nap time on the couch...
Cousins chillin on the recliner for a push-up treat after dinner...
Phew...that's it. Have a great day.

BIG BROTHER

I don't think there is ANY question that Jameson LOVES his little sister. He is being an AWESOME big brother!!! What a great kid!!!

And... I think the feeling is pretty mutual. Don't mind the sound on this one (we were both singing to her, but I was closer to the phone, so my voice is all you hear), instead, check out how closely Autumn is watching big brother sing to her. I think these two are going to be pretty close as they grow up!!!

MORE PICTURES

Here are a few pictures from the craziness that has been our house for the past week...
I needed a new wallpaper for my phone, and I wanted both of the kids in it, so here's what I got - not too bad for a camera phone. No, Autumn isn't tan, she's still getting over a little jaundice. Here is a good example of how much she looks like her brother!!!

Leaving the hospital - she looks THRILLED to be in her car seat!!! (Can we get this show on the road already???) Mom and daughter taking a nice nap on the couch.
Jameson helping dad make dinner. Mike has been cooking up a storm all week - it has been really nice. He has especially enjoyed the fact that he has gotten to do all the cooking and grandma A has been doing the clean up!!!
J showing Grandma how to roll pasta. Not sure if you can see it very well, but those boxes and dowel are Mike's thrown together pasta drying rack - pretty innovative!!
Autumn's first bath at home. Jameson did a good job helping wash her hair. He's such a great big brother. (If you look close, you can see both of their faces in the mirror.
After the first bath - notice again, the striking resemblence between her and J.
While we were still in the hospital, one of the nurses put this bow on Autumn's little head - it was pretty cute.

AUTUMN LYNN

Last Thursday, March 5 at 3:42, our beautiful little Autumn Lynn was born. Her delivery was really fast and really easy, and she and I are recovering very well. She was 7 pounds 8 ounces and 20 inches (5 ounces heavier and 1/2 inch longer than her big brother was). She looks a lot like big brother Jameson (but with much smaller feet), and has an amazingly calm disposition. We are so happy to have her, and so grateful that she is healthy and happy. Jameson got a cute pink bear for his baby sister and was very excited to give it to her.
Jamson LOVES little Autumn and is constantly hugging and kissing her and telling her how much he loves her. While we were still at the hospital, Jameson looked over at Mike and I and said "Mom and Dad, you did a good job on my baby sister!"
Look at the adoration in his eyes...I am so glad he will be there to help watch out for her as she grows up. :)

Our little princess.
First family photo.
Mike helping J hold little Autumn - what a pro.
Daddy and daughter - she already has him wrapped around her finger!!

KITE FLYING

Jameson got a really cool Red Baron kite for Valentine's Day from his Great Grandma H. We put it together a while ago, but there hasn't been any kite flying weather to fly it in...until today. The wind was really whipping it up, so we headed to the park to try it out. The wind was so strong we got it flying up REALLY high!!
Jameson had lots of fun helping Mike get it going...
And he thought it was pretty cool once they got it flying!!
He ran all over the park chasing it, and putting it back up when it crashed.
Reeling it in.
After flying the kite, we headed over to the playground. I decided not to go down the slides - don't want any crashes - but Mike and Jameson had a great time racing down them. I love his hair in this one, the wind makes it look like they were going SUPER FAST!!!
A final look of satisfaction after a fun filled afternoon!!!
